Previously to setting up Riff Raff Matthew produced award winning creative work for clients such as Cadbury’s, Nike, Adidas, Orange, Olympus, JC Penney, Diet Coke as well as Music Videos for the likes of Madonna, Coldplay, LCD Soundsystem, The Streets, Bats for Lashes, Badly Drawn Boy, Basement Jaxx and Kings of Leon. Directors he produced for include Dougal Wilson, Juan Cabral, Patrick Daughters and Adam Smith to name a few.

The highlight was producing the Grand Prix at Cannes winning Cadbury’s Gorilla commercial in 2008.

In recent years with Riff Raff he has produced work for the likes of The Sacred Egg’s Cannes Grand Prix Winning Mailchimp for Droga5 New York, Wes Anderson for Adam&Eve/DDB and H&M, as well as the most awarded D&AD commercial ever,  Megaforce’s Nike LDNR through W&K London.

Recently he is very humbled for Riff Raff to win Creative Circles’ Production Company of the Year for 2017 & 2018, SHOTS Production company of the Year 2018 and Campaign, Kinsale, Ciclope, Cresta, Televisual and Creative Circles Production Company of the Year.

Alanna Dillon, Executive Producer

Alanna is the Los Angeles-based Executive Producer at Riff Raff but she wasn’t always that way. 

Before Riff Raff, she was a Producer, a producer who also kept accidentally Executive Producing. In recent years, she produced (sometimes award-winning and nominated) spots for Jake Scott, Tim Godsall, The Malloys, Meji Alabi, Los Perez, Ninian Doff, Justyna Obasi, Paul Middleditch, Christian Breslauer, WARD and many others for clients include Apple, META, League of Legends, Hard Rock Bet, Amazon, Lexus, Lincoln, Rocket Mortgage, Target etc. 

It all started when, at age 22, she cold-emailed 40 production companies. Fortunately, Smuggler emailed back with an internship and two weeks later, she lived in Los Angeles. There, while making cappuccinos, she casually asked directors and producers about their success and kept their answers in mind. 

From there, she tried working in development, gave studio tours and worked shows at Paramount as a Studio Page, and alongside that, was a Production Assistant. It took jobs with Brad Pitt and Tom Brady and a golf cart ride around the Universal backlot, to realize that the excitement of music video and commercial world was where she wanted to be. 

Within the first year, several opportunities up the ranks were realized. She became a regular at HSI, RSA, and MJZ, working with directors David LaChapelle, James Gray, Michael Hausman, Miles Jay, Joseph Kahn, and Guy Shelmerdine amongst others. She fortunately landed with teams that gave her impressive opportunities. It soon became a goal to become a producer as fast as possible. Ideally, a producer on incredible jobs with wonderful people and fantastic creative. 

Along the way, she joined the Producers’ Health Benefits Plan (PHBP) Board as a Freelance Trustee and became a National Active Member of the Commercials Peer Group at the Television Academy. She also did some temporary stints as an Executive Producer. And because being freelance meant a constant change of surroundings and people, meaningful friendships were made along the way.

Through it all, the work and the people increasingly became a priority. After almost 15 years as a freelancer, upon feeling an immediate connection to the team and the work, Alanna joined Riff Raff. There, she tries to call everyone in the London office before 11AM Pacific Time.
