This is a journey about defeating the neigh-sayers. A journey from concrete to grass. A journey from rags to riches. What’s integral to this piece is the catalyst, the spark that fuels our hero to reach his full potential. The Reason to Believe. The catalyst for this whole film is the one word: “NEVER”.

Throughout the narrative description, when the boy faces a new opponent they can seem remarkably large. However, when the boy gets close to them and conquers, we show they are just human, on the same scale as him. The beauty of animation is that you can be poetic with the visuals. Most scenes begin with the task ahead seeming like a ‘David and Golliath’ obstacle… only to realise the size of his opponents is a mere illusion. A poetic communication of how so much of the neigh-saying is psychological: not reality.
