We asked Hugh for a bio. Read that below.

All we wanted to say was the only reason we signed him was because he is good. What more do we need to say.

Hugh started working on sets at 16 as a spark. After nearly getting electrocuted he thought he’d give editing a go instead. He found a love for organised chaos through putting on raves in abandoned churches, but thankfully found Directing as a less illegal way to expel his energy. Between his undergraduate at IADT in Film & Television production in Dublin and completing his masters in Directing Fiction at the NFTS here in London - Hugh’s been making music videos for Hak Baker, Fontaines D.C, Sega Bodega, Inhaler, For Those I Love and Kojaque to name a few. He’s also worked closely on a few projects with designer Simone Rocha as well as for H&M.

Hugh’s won 3 Gold Sharks for direction, 3 ICAADS, 2 Emerging Director Awards and was nominated for  Best Direction for his video for Fontaines D.C starring Aidan Gillen at the YDAs at Cannes. Recently, he has won the UKMVA Best New Director award and the young arrows Music Video Direction award. When he stuck ping pong ball eyes on the Fontaines D.C he never thought he'd see giant eyeballs falling from the ceiling at Alexandra Palace.
